Announcing – “Be the Boss of Your Asthma” – Patient Tools & Materials Now Available!

Posted 11 months ago by Monique Ochoa

 Hi, all –

To recognize Asthma Awareness Month, we are pleased to inform you that a new program aimed at educating and empowering patients with uncontrolled asthma, called Be the Boss of Your Asthma, has officially launched! This national educational program was informed by several leading respiratory patient advocacy organizations, including the Allergy & Asthma Network and the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America and aims to raise awareness of severe eosinophilic asthma – or S.E.A. – a severe and often hard-to-control form of asthma.

Many of you have likely heard patient stories about how severe asthma may impact a person’s quality of life or daily routines. Despite taking all their medications as prescribed and avoiding known asthma triggers, they may still struggle to control their symptoms completely.

Be the Boss of Your Asthma provides useful resources to patients and caregivers, like a doctor visit checklist, that can empower patients to take control of their asthma by actively working with their healthcare provider to obtain an accurate diagnosis and identify appropriate treatment options. Other Be the Boss of Your Asthma resources include:

  • E.A. Asthma Fact Sheet
  • Living With S.E.A. Guide
  • A series of short videos with asthma specialists discussing uncontrolled asthma and S.E.A.

As an important partner, we invite you to visit Be the Boss of Your Asthma and share these downloadable resources with those who are interested in learning more about uncontrolled asthma or S.E.A.

In addition, below is a tweet we encourage you to share to help spread the word about the launch:

  • Not all #asthma is alike. Be the Boss of Your Asthma provides resources to patients with a hard-to-control form of asthma known as S.E.A. Become your own #AsthmaBoss and take control by learning more here:

We thank you in advance for your support!
